Featured Resources: Week of May 22

May 24, 2017 by lzseleczky

The Compact2025 team conducted a literature review on the benefits of ending hunger and malnutrition, identifying four major areas of benefits: economic, health, social, and education. The review summarizes key findings and discusses gaps in the current research. A summary note and table of findings from each resource are available. All of the literature reviewed can be found on the Compact2025 Resources page.

Additional highlights from this week’s Compact2025 News in Brief include:

  • World Bank working paper summarizes current evidence and trends in undernutrition in Pakistan.
  • Study finds that adding a WASH component and nutrient supplement to an integrated agriculture and nutrition program in Burkina Faso led to greater reductions in anemia and vitamin A deficiency.
  • Transform Nutrition will host a regional meeting on “Evidence for action in East Africa” on June 8 in Nairobi, Kenya.
