The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation hosted the first ever Goalkeepers event on September 20, highlighting progress toward the SDGs and announcing a set of “accelerators”—including The Power of Nutrition—that are catalyzing investments and innovations to achieve these goals. The event also launched the first Goalkeepers Report, an annual progress check on the SDGs. The report features a case study on Peru’s success reducing stunting rates, a story documented in detail by Nourishing Millions.

Additional highlights from this week’s Compact2025 News in Brief include:

  • The Government of India has launched its National Nutrition Strategy.
  • USAID’s Food and Nutrition Technical Assistance (FANTA) project has published a report on achievements and lessons learned in Multisectoral Nutrition Programming.
