To end hunger and malnutrition faster, countries must lead the way. Compact2025 is pleased to announce its engagement with Botswana as a Focal Country committed to accelerating progress to end hunger and malnutrition.
In May 2019, at the request of the Government of Botswana, members of the Compact2025 secretariat met with the Minister of Agriculture Fidelis Molao and other high-level officials in the ministry to explore areas of collaboration under Compact2025. In the upcoming weeks, another visit to key stakeholders in the country will take place in preparation of the inaugural Botswana Roundtable Discussion, which will gather partners across sectors to set the critical groundwork for assessing how to end hunger and malnutrition in Botswana by 2025. The Botswana Roundtable Discussion is scheduled for late 2019.
